The Internet is not an intrusive medium like television or radio. Your visitors found you and they are in charge of when they no longer are interested in your message. The job of the copy and content writer is to make your Web site interesting to your visitors, and engage their interest long enough so that they do what you want them to do.
Search Engines
It all begins with understanding your keyword phrases. Figure out the best keywords that will bring the greatest number of appropriate prospects to your Web site - not just any visitor. Write them down and incorporate into your pages.
Creative Web Copywriting
The biggest Web site turn off (besides busy graphics, loud music, and long loading time) is boring content. Use attention-grabbing subheads, centered, in bold.
Proofread
Embarrassing grammatical errors, typos, and factually incorrect content deliver a negative message and cause visitors to leave your site. Nothing looks more unprofessional than a Web site riddled with typos and grammatical errors.
Image, Layout, and Design
Visuals and placement of important components make the difference between a visitor exiting your Web site and contacting you.
Menu Navigation
Don't confuse your visitor. Make sure they can easily navigate through your Web site.
Maintenance
A stale, outdated Web site is yesterday's news.
